HEARING DOGS
For a person who is hearing impaired, the feeling of vulnerability and isolation can be overwhelming. A Hearing Dog is a dedicated assistant to such people. He will alert his master to important sounds, such as the sounds of a baby's cry, the telephone ringing, a knock at the door, an alarm clock, a kettle whistle, in addition to such danger signals as the sound of a smoke alarm, burglar alarm, or even the rustling of a prowler.

SEIZURE ALERT - RESPONSE DOGS
Approximately fifteen percent of dogs are naturally able to predict seizures before they occur. On average, these predictions or alerts are made 10-20 minutes before the seizure, giving the person with the seizure disorder an opportunity to move to a safe place, take medication, call for help, or notify friends or family of the impending seizure so they can be checked later.

MOBILITY DOGS
Mobility dogs are a a type of service dog individually trained to assist persons with physical impairments that effect mobility.

PSYCHIATRIC SERVICE DOGS
Psychiatric service dogs are service dogs individually trained to perform tasks which mitigate the psychiatric disabilities of their disabled partners.

THERAPY DOGS
Therapy dogs are working dogs (dogs with jobs), but they are not a type of service dog.Therapy and Service Animals - do you know the difference?

EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS
Dogs have shared their lives with humans for at least 14,000 years and possibly much longer. During those millennia dogs have been man's helper, protector, and companion. According to the Humane Society of the United States, 39% of U.S. households include one or more dogs and 34% include one or more cats.

VICTIM ASSISTANCE DOGS
Dogs have long been Law Officers, working with their human partners to apprhend criminals. Their role in the legal system has increased now, to the court room. Across the USA, dogs are being utilized in D.A. offices, to provide comfort to victims and witnesses.
